We capped off National Neighbourhood House Week 2019 with a neighbourhood blitz and community cook-up!

Volunteers helped with gardens and meal preparation for people in our local community. This is the second neighbourhood blitz that the Coastlands Community Care volunteers have carried out since last year, and it will continue to be a regular activity.

If you or someone you know would like to express their interest in receiving domestic assistance, please register with Coastlands Community Care via email Community@coastlands.org.au. The next time our volunteers run a neighbourhood blitz, those on our register will be the first to know!

In a timely celebration of what this national week represented, we also launched The Pantry, community food market and the CAP Money Course, helping people save, budget and spend well!

Neighbourhood House Week 2019 was held May 6th to 12th and is a nationwide initiative to celebrate the role of Neighbourhood Centres, Family Centres, Community Centres, Community Resource Centres and Learning Centres. This year’s theme was ‘Bringing People Together’.
